Empowering Newcomers, Building Bridges:

Emerald Welcome Centre

Innovative integration services and professional media production for refugees, asylum seekers, and economic immigrants in Ireland.

About the Founder

Pastor Akinbola Idowu Sanuade — widely known as Pst. Akin — is the Founder, Chief Executive Officer, and Chief Integration Officer of Emerald Welcome Centre (CRO No. 754759), a professional services organisation providing immigration guidance and integration support to economic immigrants, refugees, and asylum seekers across Counties Louth, Longford, Monaghan, and to all counties in Ireland.

With over 30 years of professional experience spanning education, pastoral ministry, international diplomacy, travel consultancy, and community development, Pst. Akin brings a uniquely multidisciplinary perspective to the work of immigrant integration. His career began as a teacher, where he developed a lifelong commitment to making complex systems accessible and navigable for those who might otherwise be excluded from them — a commitment that now defines EWC's approach to immigration guidance.

His international experience includes professional roles at the Nigerian Embassy in Portugal, extensive community leadership in the United Kingdom, and over a decade of frontline integration work in England and Ireland. He has served for over 13 years as Senior Pastor of Pentecostal Unity Evangelical Ministry, a role that continues to inform his pastoral approach to client care, advocacy, and community empowerment.

Pst. Akin holds qualifications and certifications across a range of disciplines including pastoral care and theology, leadership studies, child psychology, mental health support, law and legal administration, public relations, project management, human resources and political science. He is also a qualified travel industry professional, holding the Canada Course for Education Agents (CCEA) Graduate (CCG 01467), the ICEF Trained Agent Counsellor designation (ITAC 1701) recruiting international students to numerous countries around the world, including Canada, Ireland, Australia, Germany, Malta and many more and an ABTA Training qualifications.

At EWC, Pst. Akin also serves as the organisation's designated Data Protection Officer , ensuring that all client data is handled in full compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Irish data protection law.

He is driven by a simple conviction: that every person who arrives in Ireland deserves to be met with dignity, competence, and genuine care — regardless of where they came from or what journey brought them here.
